ESD consulting roles have included engagements by architects, developers and government to work with design teams across a variety of building typologies and sectors.

Partnerships Victoria in Schools Project - PPP

Strategic ESD advice to the bid winning team on the Victorian Schools Public Private Partnership, designing, delivering and operating 11  public schools for the Victorian Government over a 28 year period. All schools were designed to achieve a 5 Star - Green Star Education rating upon release and include a range of integrated community facilities.

Architectural design projects completed in recent years include:

2010 Venice Architecture Biennale

Third Skin is part of a multi-discipline design team that has been selected to exhibit work in the Australian Pavilion at the 2010 Venice Architecture Biennale. The -41+41 installation will feature as part of  a 3D Australian presentation titled NOW + WHEN Australian Urbanism.

Peck Dunin Simpson Architects - Fiona Dunin, Alex Peck, Andrew Simpsons in association with Martina Johnson, Third Skin, Eckersley Garden Architecture, Angus McIntyre, Tim Kreger 

 

Sustainable Affordable Housing Initiative

Third Skin / BKK Architects collaboration selected as one of  four design teams commissioned to produce sustainable, affordable housing models in the mass housing sector. The resulting design provides a pragmatic response to improving sustainabiity outcomes within the context of current affordability and consumer expectations. Vicurban are looking to build five of the resulting designs as a demonstration project.

UTAS School of Architecture & Design

Chris Barnett instigated the innovative architectural collaboration between SBE and Six Degrees, won a competitive EOI process and was the Project Architect for design of the award winning new School of Architecture & Design in Launceston for the university of Tasmania.

Broome Filter House

Demonstration sustainable public housing model for the north-west of  WA. Monitored in operation by SEDO has shown the house to use 47% less electricity and 51% less water than the avergae Broome house.
